Ripped, torn, broken,

Surrounded by lies and deceit.

Hidden emotions surfacing

Bringing tears and grief.

Shadows of the past

Haunting

Every waking moment.

Cutting, twisting, breaking

Hearts

Hidden behind false smiles.

Hurt, twisted, pained,

Reflection of a former self.

Trying forcefully to escape,

Chained to an inescapable history

Clouding judgement and love.

Tears

Silently streaking.

Screaming, crying dying

Souls

Fading behind false laughter.

Lifeless, wounded, destroyed,

Empty shell left standing.

A cracked husk imitating life.

Showing fictitious passion,

Eyes seeing only darkness.

Heart

Beating methodically

Joyless life

Life

Bleeding, weeping, ending.
